Fun Fact

Did you know that Henry Dendy, purchased the land we know call Brighton, sight unseen from England? He paid 1 Pound per acre! However poor Mr Dendy’s business venture failed due to lack of water access to the area and poor  land sales.  He sold the land to his agent, Jonathon Binns Were.  Henry Dendy died a pauper, which is quite ironic given the that the median house price in Brighton is now around $2.5Million!
